Heads-up: pydoll v2 is in the works

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know I’ve started working on pydoll v2 — a pretty big update that will bring some breaking changes, along with improvements across the board.

What’s changing:

• Restructured modules and files to make things easier to maintain and extend.
• Better logging to help track down bugs more effectively.
• Added static typing with MyPy for more reliable code.
• A new and more flexible way to find elements, moving away from the current Selenium-like approach.

What’s coming:

• connect_to_remote: connect to remote browser sessions.
• set_browser_prefs: configure Chrome settings programmatically.
• Support for interacting with shadow roots.
• Support for interacting with extension UIs.
• Improved interaction system: hover, move, drag, and more (like Selenium’s ActionChains).
• Dynamic proxy switching, without restarting the browser.

Since this is a bigger rewrite, new releases might slow down a bit while I focus on this version. I’ll still be keeping an eye on issues and fixing anything critical.

Does this means that it will be possible to control a Chrome instance that is being used interactively by the user?

Hey everyone, just a quick update. I'm finishing up static typing, along with support for all CDP commands. There will be lots of new features and powerful tools for full browser control. The update is expected to be released later this month, but that will depend on a few factors. Thanks so much for all your support!
