[Rider] [macOS] [NUnit] stop the diff window from auto-displaying and formatting after running tests

i have looked through the docs and cant find what is triggering this behavior.

when i run a new test (generating an initial snapshot) the following happens:

1. test fails
2. diff window (Rider) auto opens to display the file contents
3. i accept ("merging" to the right) the new diff
4. diff window says "no changes detected" (for a split second)
5. it auto-formats and presents a new diff (stripping whitespace and adding a newline at the end)

this is really annoying and would be easier to just use the context menu on the test to accept / view the diff.

i wouldnt mind seeing the diff if it would stop auto-formatting after accepting. as it stands i have to accept the initial diff and then accept all the additional lines that are auto-formatted. the formatting happens instantly as soon as i do the initial accept merge.

i have disabled the "actions on save" and it hasnt made a difference

can anyone help me understand why this is happening and how to disable it?

It could be related to .editorconfig settings. Check if you have such option insert_final_newline = true in it.
