Sorry if i'm not as savvy as you folks are... Did however find this tutorial and it did the trick: Install libdvd-pkg Using apt-get Update apt database with apt-get using the following command. sudo apt-get update After updating apt database, We can install libdvd-pkg using apt-get by running the following command: sudo apt-get -y install libdvd-pkg --How To Install libdvd-pkg on Debian 12 | Installati.one |

Even if all necessary codecs seem to be installed by default, VLC still can't play a DVD.
Btw, have never had issues burning SpiralLinux via Rufus to usb.
