The notifications window allows a user to enable and subscribe to push notifications allowing a user to close the tab or browser, and be notified of the call.

You can find the notification settings window in the Left Navigation menu under Notifications.

Understanding Notifications

There are two types of notifications available, both of which depend on specific permissions to function:

1. OnScreen Notifications

• Permission Request: The top section of the notifications window handles the actual permission request for notifications.
• Default Status: If notification permissions have not been granted, the status will show as "default".
• Granting Permission: To enable notifications, click the Request button next to the status. Once permission is granted, the status will change to "granted".
• Functionality: With permission granted, you can enable OnScreen notifications. These notifications appear when you receive calls or messages while your focus is not on the specific user.

2. Push Notifications

• Subscription: To enable Push Notifications, click the Subscribe button next to the subscription status.
• Functionality: Push Notifications allow you to receive alerts even if the browser tab or the entire browser is closed.
• How It Works:
  • When a call or message is sent to you, a push notification is delivered directly to your computer as a system notification.
  • Clicking the notification will open the browser (if it was closed) or the relevant tab (if it was closed), enabling the phone interface so you can receive the call.
