Ravenports' Firefox

I installed the Ravenports' Firefox. It's running fine but the mouse cursor looks weird. What can I do to fix it?

Plus I think you are running it on linux but that's the kind of information that would be useful to somebody trying to help you troubleshoot.

It's using an unusual cursor theme. Why can't it use the default mouse cursor theme of the system? I have not replaced xorg and xfce with Ravenports packages yet. It's still the xorg and xfce of Debian.

Well, I think I used to see this unusual mouse cursor. It's when I was playing with FreeBSD, installing Firefox to run on a bare metal twm with startx. It's very ugly. It seems the Ravenports' Firefox can't see and use the mouse cursor themes in /usr/share/icons.

Which packages should I install to have the proper mouse cursor?

I am not an expert. Probably installing something like "mate-themes" is a step in the right drection, but I'm not sure how to tell firefox which theme to use.

Usable themes should be installed in /raven/share/icons/. Most people probably expect Adwaita (from the adwaita-icon-theme~single package).

The tricky part is to make applications use it. This depends heavily on the DE of the user, but IIRC there's also various ways to set them via the GUI toolkits, GTK in the case of Firefox. Xfce for example should allow to use that icon theme once it's installed.

Which XFCE? The XFCE installed by Ravenports? Your Firefox seems to not obey the settings of the system's XFCE.

I can confirm this. Does it actually read the config files in $HOME?
