Setup a desktop with Ravenports and Debian base

Perhaps LFS/BLFS is too far fetched for me, so I decided to use a Debian base. It's the Debian text installer without any desktop. Now Ravenports is bootstrapped. Which packages I need to install to have a working XFCE desktop?

For this use case I would suggest installing xorg (you could get away with a partial xorg installation but then you need to pick carefully what you think you need) and xfce~single~s for the standard Xfce, xfce~single~c if you only want the 'core' of the desktop without the default applications (for example xfce4-term) or even xfce~single~m if you're after the 'minimal' variant that is just the components that provide the most basic desktop.

Feel free to let me know if you encounter any problems. This desktop is meant to be working well in general.

if you install an system such as mint or MX that already has a working desktop, you can leverage that by installing raven packages directly. You might have to change some configuration to have the desktop icons appear but if /raven/sbin + /raven/bin is in the path, you can run them directly from the desktop

I installed the Ravenports' Firefox. It's running fine but the mouse cursor looks weird. What can I do to fix it?

that being said, it's been a while since we produced a full package set on linux so I think I need to start on soon.

to follow up, the linux package has been updated twice in a week, and I expect more frequent updates from now on.
