Description of issue

i am having curl: (28) error when i do the following:

brew install

brew upgrade

brew uninstall

brew doctor

check brew doctor and brew config outputs for info

Set the HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API environment variable.

I'm not sure this is related, but there is an issue on GitHub's end with how we were distributing formulae and casks. We've temporarily rolled that feature back until GitHub fixes the issue. You could also try to run brew update to get the rollback and then try again.

Specifically, @Rylan12 is telling you to export HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1, then try your brew commands again.

Since you're not the first person who's reported exactly the same symptoms, I'd bet it will work.
