brew commands produce 'Error: stack level too deep'

I just upgraded to Mac OS Big Sur 11.3,
and now, it looks like any $ brew command will generate this error.

I can definitely cause it with just $ brew doctor

-> brew doctor
Error: stack level too deep

That stack trace just repeats over and over, until the stack level gets too deep.

I cannot, because the $ brew untap command, generates the same Stack Too Deep error

How about just removing /usr/local/Homebrew/Library/Taps/d12frosted/homebrew-emacs-plus?

OK, so I took a clue from your reply and I did the following:

1. $ cd (brew --prefix)/Homebrew/Library/Taps
2. $ rm -rf d12frosted/
3. $ brew uninstall emacs-plus
4. $ brew tap d12frosted/emacs-plus

That seems to have solved it
