Extensibility

Extensibility: the quality of being designed to allow the addition of new capabilities or functionality.

DataForge is being designed with extensibility in mind. The schema we are designing is both very generic but also specific.

In terms of being generic, the model has high level models Location, Thing, Sample, Observation, etc. These models have very general fields shared among many different types of geologic data. The schema extends the general baseline models with domain specific models and fields, e.g WellThing, SpringThing, WellObservation, HandSample, WaterSample, MicroSample, etc
