issue when running exec powershift image assemble

When installing the application on OpenShift I am having issues in running the command
exec powershift image assemble. The command is in the script .s2i/assemble

The errors I am getting in OpenShift are:

Error: No such command 'image'.
error: build error: building at STEP "RUN /tmp/scripts/assemble": while running runtime: exit status 2
