EDX should consider adding more information regarding proctoring support on Linux. #710

Description

@timostrating

The proctoring software that is used does not support Linux. This has been the case for more then a year while many courses even require you to use it for the assignments. EDX should consider adding a clear explanation to why it is not supported or indicate what the community could do to add it. In the case this situation does not change it should consider to make it more clear on the public pages if a course is using proctoring or not.

edit) to illustrate this more clearly https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-partner-course-staff/en/latest/proctored_exams/index.html does not mention anywhere that some students may not be able to use the proctoring software on linux.

Even in the comparison https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-partner-course-staff/en/latest/proctored_exams/overview.html#comparison-of-rpnow-and-proctortrack there are no mentions of the different options supporting different devices.
