Why open cypher doesn't allow list as property value?

I was trying to store List of values in a Node property but it was not stored and throwing Exception as Property value must be a simple literal.. But I need to store it as list. Is there any workaround for this or is there any future release plan related to this issue?

Note: List during Querying is working

Thanks for writing in, are you referring to any particular implementation of Cypher? E.g Neo4j? If so what version are you on?

If you are trying to store a node with a list property in Neo4j's Cypher, it cannot contain null values or be a list of mixed types, but should work with a list where all types are the same.
