RPI4 with Touch Display 2

Hey all! I recently got my hands on everything i need to run crankshaft-ng. unfortunately though I've discovered that crankshaft runs on an older kernel so I'm not able too use my touch display 2. I've tried rpi-update method but it fails constantly and won't upgrade to book worm. I got my hands on OAP 16.1 which i was able to get rpi-update to the latest Kernel, but AA is broken and development is dead so boo on that.

Any chance someone has come across this and has a fix or is there plans to move Crankshaft to bookworm in the future? Thanks for all the hard work you guys do!
