How different is codex-cli from codex?

Hi guys, just saw the launch a while back of the codex platform where it can go off with its own runner and give you back a PR, is that just using the same codex cli in a sandboxed environment, or are there some differences?

I must admit that I haven't had the chance to read the documentation for that codex or the operator, as they don't seem to be available in Europe (at least to the best of my knowledge). However, it's possible that they could work on a computer-use-preview connected to o4-mini-high, though I can't say for certain. It seems that even the options for OpenAI alone are limited here.
