Introducing the Federation Advocacy and Advancement Initiative (FAAI), a new sub-initiative and working group of OWTA. FAAI aims to promote the integration of federation features into more applications and advance existing federation features, protocols, and standards.

Key goals of FAAI include:

• Advocating for federation in all kinds of apps, where it would be useful
• Proposing improvements to existing federation features and standards
• Fostering collaboration between teams and communities of federated apps
• Providing resources for implementing and improving federation features

We've already made progress with a federation proposal for Apache Answer. We are also planning such a proposal for AnswerOverflow.
