When modeling energy systems up to the year 2050, it is important to understand the impact of sector coupling on the electricity grid. However, including the sector grid significantly increases the computational effort beyond what is necessary for the study. The TYNDP studies already take into account the electricity demand of the sectors and therefore represent a suitable compromise for long-term analysis.
