Images returning 404 if i have trailingSlash: true

Any idea what could cause this? For some reason all images on my page work, and load until I configure trailingSlash to true (I have to do it bcos I am hosting on CloudFlare Pages and they automatically add the trailing slash for some reason)

edit: forgot to mention that this is an issue only in DEV
