[Bug] Slow Linux Opening Time

Describe the bug
When opening the Ueli launcher via RPM or AppImage on Linux, the time it takes to open it around 1-1.5 seconds. Even when already open in the background, the time it takes to open via hotkey is the same. This is noticable longer than other launchers (Ulauncher, KRunner, etc.) and longer than Ueli on Windows as well which all open essentially instantly.

To Reproduce

1. Download AppImage
2. Open AppImage

Expected behavior
Would expect to open much faster as it does on Windows.

I am on Wayland yes. I usually open with hotkey, but also with ueli --toggle is slow as well.

I'm assuming by hotkey you mean a key bound to ueli --toggle since ueli doesn't support Wayland hotkeys yet. Unfortunately the speed is due to electron so ueli --toggle can't get any faster, but I'm working on adding Wayland hotkey support.

Hm, I had no issues opening it with the hotkey in the Ueli settings, apart from the slow opening time of course. But I also have also tried assigning ueli --toggle to a hotkey in KDE as you mentioned as well. Still slow :(

I think KDE had their own implementation for global shortcuts for XWayland, but I'm not sure as I don't use it. I'll take a look into it when I have time. If the native hotkey works then I'd recommend you stick to that as I'll try to speed that up in the future. ueli --toggle is known to have a small delay (I should have documented this) so it's meant as more of a bandaid fix if native hotkeys don't work on your distro.

Yeah i do prefer the hotkey in Ueli. I will try it again when it's sped up. I use Ueli on my Windows machines as well, so once it works faster in Linux I will hopefully use it there as well.
