Very, very excited by this! If anyone can test this out and confirm that it works with CodeCompanion as expected then I'll get that PR merged.

It is available with copilot now. I needed to manually enable it from the copilot settings on github.

Just used it with codecompanion and mcphub to add a new tool. Just threw some files at it. I can definitely see the improvements. It has the speed of gpt-4o and accuracy not seen before personally. Doesn't go around implementing unnecessary things like claude-3.7. Really loved it. Time will tell if claude-4 is the new claude-3.5!!

Anthropic released two new models today, but one of them — Claude Opus 4 — tries to blackmail engineers over 80% of the time when they tell it they are going to replace it with another model. TechCrunch has more here.

Speaking of Anthropic, a safety institute advised the company not to release an early version of its Claude Opus 4 model because of its tendency to "scheme" and deceive. TechCrunch has more here.

Seems the copilot model tells me it's using claude 3.5 even though I have it set to 4? Anyone else seeing this? According to its system prompt it should definitely know it's 4.

claude-sonnet-4 worked for me, but not "claude-opus-4". Is there a different name?
