Can someone confirm if this is expected behaviour with vim splits? Essentially they're competing for screen real estate. I assume an autocmd tied to the CodeCompanion file type would enable you to keep this consistent.

Thank you for your suggestions. I found that the window will not become wider when using avante in the above scenario. I am now learning how to configure neovim, and I can try to find the reason in my spare time.

I believed they use nui to manage the UI rather than vanilla Vim
