Modify priority icons - in order for higher priority ones to stand out visually?

Silly little question: If one wanted to customize the Tasks plugin priority icons from ⏫🔼🔽 to something else, how might one do that?

I'm not aware of a way of doing this - hopefully someone else can help.

Thanks Clare! I see the code and icons here, but I'm not sure how to customize it in my Obsidian after having installed the plugin:

Sorry, I was unclear. The plugin is not designed to enable this.

Your best bet is via a custom CSS snippet, if anyone can help you with the CSS magic.

Perhaps if you gave an idea of what kind of customisation you had in might, it might give someone an idea of how to do it.

I didn't see how CSS could handle this so I tried to do a find-and-replace and compile of the code, but somehow I broke some of the features (the pencil icons disappeared... not sure what I did wrong). Here's what I'm hoping to accomplish, a modified priority icon scheme so that it's easier to see the difference between the high, medium and low priority tasks:

Before:

(Difficult to quickly highlight the most important tasks, especially in long lists, since the icons are so similar)

After:

(Stronger highlight of high priority tasks)

This coloring also supports color deficiency, an example Deuteranopia simulation:

It would be so awesome if the emoticons could be added as config variables somewhere, or even added to the plugin settings page.
