When clicking on due_date/scheduled_date/start_date/recurrence/priority take me to the edit menu and select the field to make editing quicker

I think when the Add/Edit modal pops up, it won't have access to where the user had previously clicked.

Building on your suggestion, perhaps it might be possible for the modal to access any selected text. In which case, if the user had selected the "Due" emoji or due date, it might be possible to jump to that field in the modal.

Exactly, the purpose of this request is to make editing quicker, from two clicks (edit → due) to one click (due). It brings the experience closer to apps like todoist where you only have to click once to modify the due date.
