Requesting option to specify a shorter substitute for filepath, name, & header within backlinks

I make use of the backlink in Tasks queries frequently enough that I do not want to hide them.

However, the backlink's display of the source note's file path, name, and header results in a lot of clutter.

Accordingly, I'd like to see a Tasks configuration option which allows the user to choose the text that's displayed between all backlinks' parentheses. (I'd likely choose something like note or src.)

Or maybe replace the backlink text with an icon.

I just added some CSS in my snippet file to make the text xx-small while leaving the editor pencil icon regular size. It's ok, but not ideal.

Definitely want the ability to click to the backlink to go to where the task originated, but don't need all the text showing up.

I see now that there's a pull request (#393) that will replace the backlink file path and name with an icon as @LeslieP-TX suggests above.

This would work as well or better than my text substitution suggestion.

I'd personally much prefer backlink styling over just emotes.

Would it be possible to add an option that only shows the last part of the backlink and not the full breadcrumb? E.g. when I have my tasks in a file "Todo" the backlink for an item under "Project X" now displays as "Todo > Project X". Could it be made so it only shows "Project X"?

Hi, it would definitely be possible, but I’m afraid not currently a very high priority, given the volume of other requests.

A workaround would be to hide the backlinks and group by heading.
