Would auto-completion of tags and links in the description field help? I wanted to look into that. |

In the description, the tags are at the start of the task line. I put my tags at the end (just before due date etc) So if implementing this, it would be good for any existing tags not to be moved to different positions in the line when making other edits, like changing dates. |

When creating a new todo, the tag field should also be filled with the frontmatter tags from the page. At least until it is possible to filter/group by frontmatter tags instead of task tags. |

I 3rd this again. With the new task editing modal and all the recent changes to editing dates and priority, it seems the main thing we're still missing is the ability to edit tags. Currently, you can't call the global auto-complete tag list from the Tasks edit modal at all. You simply have to hope you've put it in correctly. |

I would also appreciate to be able to edit tags in my tasks in "create or edit task" menu. |

The description field has been redesigned in the Edit Tasks Modal so that it is now expandable and wraps text over multiple lines. This means it works well with descriptions and tags of any length. We definitely do need to give users help when typing the description, by auto-completing tags, and by detecting links to other notes in the vault. I am closing this very specific request, in favour of the much more general one: Please do up-vote that, by giving it a 👍 ... |

I use tags in my tasks (e.g. #open, #wfr, etc) to indicate status in my task. I use task queries to filter them in different circumstances. Now managing tags in tasks means editing tags in de task text. Would it be possible to have a tag field in the editor which would read from and transform to something like this:
Caveat is probably the use of tags in the text of the task e.g. "Notify #personx on #projectx".
