Filter for tasks where the current filename is included #362

That is currently not possible. The workaround right now would be to add the tasks in the project file instead of the daily and then pull in all tasks from all files into the daily with a query. Kind of „the other way around“. Does this help? |

So really, I have say 50+ of those and growing number of those project notes
While I think about the project when adding the task, I don’t have to find
the note and add it there. That’s saving one or two steps.
I understand how you say you designed it. I am using it differently. But I
think it makes it much more scalable (at least for me).
Thanks for putting the request in the idea section.

Ok. I changed this to an 💡Idea and changed the title.
When do you add the [[project note]] link? Don’t you have to think about
where the task belongs in order to add it? At that time (maybe end of
day?), you could migrate tasks into their appropriate project files.
Tasks is based on another workflow. Basically, whenever you work on a
project, you are in that project‘s note and not the daily. All notes you
take will be in the context of that project, as will be the tasks.

I write tasks in my daily, with a link to [[project note]].
Inside the [[project note]], I want to run a task query to pull all tasks referencing the note [[project note]]. While I can do that individually by handwriting the note's real title in the query. Is there a way for me to pull the note title inside the query?
Below is my current query.
