Can I get done dates only on managed tasks?

Problem description

I only want Tasks to manage checkboxes within a section with a heading that contains the word "tasks," including adding a done date. I want done dates on managed tasks, but not on other checklist items.

So, on this page, it should only manage the three items , shit, shower, and shave, adding a done date when they are completed. But it shouldn't add done dates to the checklist items one, two, and three.

If I enable "set done date on every completed task," it adds a done date to those items as expected. But it also adds a done date to the checklist items (one, two, three) when checked which I do not want.

If I disable that option, done dates are not added to any of the items whether they in a tasks section or not.

I want a way to have the tasks plugin work for items in section that contains "tasks" but leave others as simple checklist items. I was hoping that setting the new "Global Query" to heading includes tasks would do the trick, but it doesn't.

Hi, no that is not a facility offered by the Tasks plugin.

The only way to selectively control which tasks that Tasks acts on at all is to use a global filter.
