No, that is not supported by Tasks currently. You can add the nested items manually of course, using the Obsidian editor. It is possible that the Edit Task modal may one day be able to edit multi-line tasks, but you would still need to manually add the times and details |

Hey, when we look at Tasks view results, is there a way to edit AND retrace a task's progress? Like, if I click a task in the list, can I tweak its timeline (e.g., "oops, this step actually happened yesterday") or scroll through its history to see how it evolved? Kinda like a tiny journal attached to each task – no fancy features, just easy edits and a quick "this is how we got here" glance.
if I log a broad task first (e.g., "Plan Project X"), I should be able to click the task to add milestones—"03/12: Finalized budget" or "03/13: Assigned team roles"—to track the full journey from start to finish. These details could pop out when I click the little expand icon (⋮), making it easy to see the nitty-gritty without cluttering the main list.
Here’s what I mean – when you log progress history, it should show time stamps + updates right under the task in Tasks view, like this:
⏺ 08/01/23 10:00 📄 Drafted outline for requirements doc (finally stopped procrastinating!)
⏺ 08/02/23 15:30 💻 Tech plan greenlit with dev team (only 2 arguments this time!)
⏺ 08/03/23 09:00 ✨ Started coding core modules (yes, 9AM was a mistake – coffee needed)
In Tasks view, task history should display as timestamped progress nodes nested under the parent task – click to expand/collapse, type to add new entries like:
▸ File management UX upgrade
