Access to the tasks plugin settings from another plugin

Hi there!
I am trying to synchronize Obsidian tasks to issues in multiple GitHub repos, I would like to use dynamic custom task states which must be known to the gitHub sychronizer plugin. How can I access the list of task states and their full name from my new plugin?

This information is not exposed by the Tasks plugin.

If you are willing to write thoroughly test code, I would consider a PR to Tasks to make the custom statuses available via Tasks' existing API.

Any PR would need to guarantee that calls cannot accidentally modify the returned data.
