Good point, @blongty. I will see if/how that's possible. As a workaround, for now, you can add the links, tags, etc. in Obsidian's markdown edit view. The task is exactly what is written in the markdown file. It makes no difference to Tasks, whether you edit the task with the modal or in the file directly.

The latest release of Obsidian added support to access the auto-completion feature. I will have a look when I have the time.

I have converted this to an Issue so that it can be discussed, linked to, put in to a project, and various other GitHub conveniences.
