Option to not show the backlink for child elements when using show tree

Lets say that I define a task in a folder called someFolder and file called Task Demo Sample that looks like this

- [ ] Task 1 📅 2025-01-24
	- [ ] Child 1
	- [ ] Child 2
	- [ ] Child 3

If I run the task query

show tree
path includes someFolder

this is the current output

What I am looking for a is a way to hide the backlinks for the children of the parent task because I already know the backlink from the parent, and I find

that its unnecessary noise.

Is there a way to do this today?

No, backlinks are an all-or-nothing thing - on or off.

You can control their styling though:

Also, in case you don't know, you can now nest sub-tasks in the search results.

Got it. Thank for the reply! I am aware of the nesting feature. When I copied the source of tasks I think messed up some formatting which is why nesting wasn't working properly in the query. I corrected the screenshots now in the discussion.

Also, backlinks jump to the particular line where the task is location, so I feel they still have value even when on nested tasks.

Ahh I see. I can see why backlinks for subtasks would add value especially when task list is long. For now, I am going to use 'short mode' which helps with the visual noise. Thanks for the reply and all the work you do!
