Hi @b0o, thank you for the idea. Once you could have a global filter per heading, it would automatically work with simple words like „Tasks“. The filter already works on any string match and doesn’t require the global filter to be a tag. |

Just to note that Tasks now has a Global Query which is designed for exactly this sort of situation. Any valid Tasks query instructions can be added to your settings, and they then get to applied to every Tasks query block that does not contain So you could put the following in your global query, and it would be applied to all Tasks query blocks in your vault:

Rather than applying a filter string to each individual task in a task list, like this:
It would be nice to be able to apply the filter string once to the parent heading, like this:
Or, even better, to be able to filter based on the heading itself (e.g. any heading called
