Hi @ackstorm23, i don’t think this is thought through. Where would you put the button in the file (in preview)? And where would you add the task in the file? |

yes, the button would be in the preview, not in edit mode. In edit mode you can simply add it yourself. The dilemma is that when you switch to edit mode, you can no longer see the list of tasks from preview mode, which may contain information related to the new task you were about to add As for where the put the new task in the file, I would suggest putting them under a configurable header, maybe with a reasonable default like # tasks |

I would like to be able to see my existing tasks and add new tasks at the same time. This is because I put
tasks
blocks in my daily templates.It would be great if I could render the
tasks
blocks while in edit mode, but I imagine that is technically not possible.As an easier alternative, you we could have a add tasks button in preview mode that adds tasks to the current file.
Best partnered with my other Idea about hiding tasks in the current file when they are being displayed in a
tasks
