Filtering tasks done or cancelled today

Hi, I'm having a bit of a senior's moment and can't quite figure out how to filter tasks that are done or cancelled today.
I'm running the current version of Tasks, on the current version of Ob.

I currently have the following bit in a Templater template for my Daily Note:

> [!DONE] COMPLETED TODAY
> ```tasks
>done on <% tp.date.now("YYYY-MM-DD") %>
>sort by done
>short mode
>```

This works fine for finding tasks done "today".
But I can't for the life of me figure out how to filter both tasks done and tasks cancelled today.

Can someone help me out?

How could Tasks know what you cancelled today, when there is no Cancelled Date field?

Good point; makes sense.
So... followup idea: might it be an idea to use the completed date to mark when a task is cancelled?
Presumably, the act of cancelling a task required some decision-making on the user's part, so marking it complete is a way of documenting when that decision was made.

As an approximation, You could search for tasks that are due today and are cancelled.

Or you can invent some fixed text that you always manually add to cancelled tasks, like #cancelled-on-2023-12-29..

And there is a feature request for add a Cancelled Date field - so you find and upvote that, I suppose.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I am experimenting with adding Cancelled Date right now. If progress is good, best you don't spend much time setting up an alternative...

I released Cancelled date support in Tasks 5.5.0, on 2nd Jan 2024.
