Love to be able to filter or hide tags and backlinks

I am LOVING this plugin, thanks for all your work making and supporting it!

I am using TASKS in association with the Kanban plugin where I am using tags on Kanban cards (which are just simple Obsidian tasks) to indicate status.

I love that I can add a #tag to a card and then create a query that includes that tag. My question is:

Is there a way to not show the tag in the query results? Here's what I mean:

How it looks in Kanban view

How it looks in Markdown view

Query set up on a different page to pull in all tasks with the Focus tag

As you can see from the images the queried results includes:
a) The text of the task
b) the tag
c) the page link (in this case, [[@1 - Bodie > Physical Health]])

Is there a way to hide the tag and the page link (the circled items above) in the query results?

I would love to just generate a clean list without the extra info. Love to know if this is possible.

Hey there! @philphilphil was so Kind to create #233. So it looks like you will be able to hide the page link in the next release or so 😊
Regarding the tags: that is not possible or planned as of now, but I will change this discussion to an idea so we track it.

But please note that it's not final yet, and it may change if schemar wants something changed or build in different.

@schemar Is there a public roadmap anywhere on what you are working on for this plugin? I know development doesn't come fast or easy, but I just didn't know where this request fell with all the others. Glad to contribute toward the development of this great plugin, as well!

There is no public roadmap. Generally, development is very slow. You can basically look at priorities like this: if it is an “issue”, it has higher priority for me. If it is instead a “discussion”, priority is pretty much based on the number of votes.

If you are serious about contributing, let me know what you want to do (e.g. documentation or coding) and I can help you get started 😊

hide backlinks has been available for a long time.

There is not yet any equivalent for hide tags, but that is already logged separately under #848.

So there are no more actions in this discussion, and I'll close it.
