Is it possible to auto-delete a done recurrent task instance?

Hi, Is it possible to auto-delete a done recurrent task instance when the plug-in adds the new recurrent instance (above or below), so that it does not become a long list of done instances? Thanks

Hi, no it isn't.

There have been a few requests, but it is not a priority, in part because there are other ways of doing this.

I haven't used them, but I gather that there are other plugins available on the Community Store that allow one to manage completed.

Hi, the closest plugin I found is Packrat, but it only works on a manual command once you are inside a file you want to clean-up. If you have recurrent tasks across many files, you would have to go into each one to manually trigger clean-ups. If I want to add my vote for this feature request (a switch to auto-delete completed instances, or auto-archive into some file) should I find the other similar requests you mentioned to add to them, or is this message good enough? Thanks!

I use votes, not comments, as a time-efficient way to gauge popularity of requests, although popularity by no means guarantees that someone will choose to spend their volunteer time on an issue.

To up-vote discussion requests, click the up arrow on the initial message.

For ideas, add a👍 on the initial message.

And yes, it’s worth doing the same on any existing duplicates. Or at least on the highest voted duplicate.

Both discussions and issues can be sorted by number of votes.
