Tasks Assigned to

Does Obsidian have a way in the task to show assigned to. Today I just list the[[person name]] in the task to track it. These are things I'm not doing but tracking. It would be nice to have an actual assignedto field in the task as a supported option. Does this exist today?

No, and if it did, it would be mentioned in the docs.

Linking like you suggest works.

Another way to achieve this is to use a tag hierarchy system, perhaps like:

• #assigned/clare
• #assigned/george

I do this for #context/home etc and it works really well.

Also just to add that since I wrote the comment above, I've added custom filters, sorting and grouping...

And if you look at the Tags sections of those pages in the docs, you will find some - I think - really useful examples to take advantage of nested tags...

The examples refer to #context/ because that is what I use - but you will be able to convert them to #assigned/ or whatever...
