Should the underlined first lettres in the

Below, you can see that the first letters are underlined. I presume that means I can use some modifier to select those fields, but I'm not sure how?

Thank you kindly. BTW: On my keyboard (Kinesis Advantage) that can be an awkward keypress, is there an alternative modifier (e.g., just the option key)?
