tags includes #MYTAG generates 0 results - when tag is elsewhere in the file, not on the task line

Hi!
Looking at the helpfile the following query returns all open tasks!

tasks
not done
group by filename

Perfect. No issues there!
However, i want to filter and only show tasks with the tag #MYTAG
I change the query:

tasks
not done
group by filename
tags includes #MYTAG 

But this yields 0 results....
Im sure i have missed something obvious, but i cant find it.
Any help and "nudge" in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!

OK!
So, i managed to figure out something.
the "tags include" works if the ACUAL Task is tagged...
So, the question would change to: how do i show all tasks that are in "notes" that are tagged with #MYTAG.
I cant see a way to individially TAG each and every task..

When the tag is on the page and not directly on the task, I solve for this with a Dataview block rather than Tasks.

If you don't have tags in Frontmatter and it's just elsewhere on the page in typical #tag format, then you can do a more straightforward query along the lines of:

TASK 
FROM #tag
WHERE !completed
GROUP BY file.link
