Add a number of cycles setting

My idea is that it is possible to set the number of loops for the recurring task. After a few cycles, the loop is no longer performed

I came up with a method to keep track of the number of times, and the next task generated will subtract 1 from this count. This way, tasks will continue to be generated until the count reaches 0, and then no more tasks will be generated.

• read book 🔁 every month remain 1 times （Generated from the following text）
• read book 🔁 every month remain 2 times （Generated from the following text）
• read book 🔁 every month remain 3 times

This sounds appealing, but it does not work for me in Tasks.

Specifically, Tasks does not recognise remain 3 times as a valid part of the recurrence rule, so as soon as I complete the task the first time, it rewrites the recurrence rule in the first task as every month.

@ribber Please could you list the exact steps to use, in order to get your method to work?

I apologize for the misunderstanding. I did not actually implement this feature, I only suggested that it could be implemented in this way.
