Tasks Listed in Multiple Vaults

Hi, I have 2 vaults, one for work and another for personal. I have a dashboard page that I listed all my tasks in my work vault. Recently I decided to standardized my work’s design, plug-ins including dashboard home page into my personal vault. So dashboard homepage not is being copied into personal vault. When I open my dashboard note in my personal vault, I noticed that those tasks in work vault are also listed. I would like to request help on how do I list tasks that is belong to the respective vault?

Do I understand correctly that a Tasks query in vault B is showing tasks from vault A?

What happens when you click on the back link on one of those tasks? Does it fail, or does it open a file? If so, where is that file?

Tasks asks Obsidian for a list of files in the vault. And then a list of list items in each file.

So there is no way that Tasks should be able to even see tasks in your other vault.

The only possible explanations I can think of are:

• You are accidentally viewing the work vault, and its dashboard
• Files with tasks in accidentally got copied from work over to home
• There is some weird caching bug in Obsidian that allows displayed from one vault to be seen in another.

Thanks Clare for your quick reply. I have just checked that it was caused by some of my old notes in work vault which i have missed out in my migration of vault. I have removed them and now it showed correctly 🙏 Regards. Kenny Go
