installation and getting started doc is broken

There is some issues in the install documentation:
- the dependencies install fails: polipo is not in debian anymore
- gem install fails: some options does not exists anymore, removing the options do the trick
- gem install of some requirements needs build-essentials
- git is also missing from the dependencies: required for adding templates
