Redirect Not Working

I'm seeing an issue where we remove an entry (and its associated section) and add a redirect to a new page.

The redirect doesn't want to take hold and goes to the old entry url showing the header and the footer of the site only. I'm not entirly sure what is happening.

Tests

1. As a test I have also tried using the .htaccess file to add the same redirect and get the same issue.
2. Other redirects created in the plugin appear to be working fine.
