'St.' vs 'Saint'

Consider adding alternate spellings for places, e.g. "St. Louis" vs. "Saint Louis". It looks like right now all the places in the DB are "St."

Other abbreviations? Ft. Worth, Sault Ste. Marie.

Also be sure to take into account where St. isn't at the beginning (e.g. East St. Louis)

This sounded like a fun thing to tackle but I have decided it is very hard 😆 .

FWIW Ft. Worth is "Fort", so the opposite problem exists where if people write "Ft. Worth" they will have 0 results.

The hacky solution would be to duplicate all "St." records in the Gazetteer, but then if you searched "Louis", in the dropdown you would see:

• Saint Louis
• St. Louis
• East Saint Louis
• East St. Louis

There are 225 St. and three Ste.'s
