Work Items Not Used On Source | These work items will not be migrated

I am getting an error message when running the migration script for the work item processor. Even though the work items that are not being used on the source, do these same work items need to exist on the target? I originally had these work items listed in the "NOT IN" within, "WIQLQueryBit": , and I got the error. I removed the work items from the NOT IN and still getting the error. Do I need to request the unused work items to be removed from the source?

I am assuming I cannot use the above fix with version 15.1. This is the version we had initially tested on. Would you suggest to have on the source the unused work items be removed to avoid this error?

v15 was quite some time ago.

Can you point me to the current documentation that explains what each section of the latest version does? I have reviewed the version I am currently using and the latest and the format (verbiage) is a bit different.

I just downloaded version MigrationTools-16.2.11-Preview.1 and I do not see the portion of the code to exclude work items.
