Hi Martin,

I’ve been using your azure-devops-migration-tools, and I came across a repetitive and time-consuming task: manually mapping fields between source and target projects in Azure DevOps. To streamline this process, I developed a PowerShell script that automates the comparison of fields for a given work item type and generates the FieldMergeMap configuration in the same format for the tool.

This script:

• Connects to both the source and target Azure DevOps projects
• Compares fields for a specified work item type (e.g., Bug, Task)
• Outputs the required FieldMergeMap structure, ready to use in your migration configuration

It significantly reduces the manual effort required for field mapping and ensures more accurate configurations.
