Link between TFVC ChangeSet and Work Items missing

When I've migrated projects with GIT repository the link between a commit and work items have been restored after the migration if I migrate the repository before the work items.

Now I have migrated a TFVC repository and then the work items.
But the links between the changesets (wich is the term for commits in a TFVC repo if I've understood it correctly) and work items doesn't seem to be restored.

Is this a known limitation or am I doing something wrong?

We do not support TFVC links.

This would only be possible if you have a dataset with the ChangeSet mappings as the changeset ID would have changed.

You should use Git for version control in your projects and begin to move your existing TFVC projects to Git. TFVC is considered feature complete. Azure DevOps will maintain compatibility with TFVC, but Git will receive all future investment.
