If we need to use the tool for existing (Basic, Scrum ,CMMI ) , What will be the Reflectedworkitemid Field name. I tried using reflected filed id as "title" which is one of my columns in the board ,however in the migrated items the title filed get replaced with a link to the actual work item in the source project

You will need to add a ReflectedWOrkItem field. Its purpose is to store data that allows the tool to work with the work items.

You can create an inherited process that has this additional field.

Thank You it works. i also have an issue post migration of my azure pipelines, i encounter an error saying "no pool was specified" while running the pipeline post migration , what i observed is in the pipeline triggers the Default agent pool for YAML was not copied from the source to destination. Any fix for the same?

I added the ReflectedWOrkItem and it only migrates my user stories, i tried to add the same ReflectedWOrkItem field for other workitem types such a s bug but it does not allow with the same name. if i create a field with different name for each workitem type how should i configure the .config file so that it moves all workitem types such as user story , bugs ,epics everything togetehr

Once the field is created in the inherited template and added to the first work item type, the next work item type you want to add the field choose it (ReflectedWorkitemID) from the list of already available fields.

@wesmacdonald Thank you , that helped ,could you also help me understand why the tool keeps replaying revisions , i had just few workitems but it is taking way too long to migrate.and i see in the logs something that says "saved target workitem, replayed revision"
Anything i need to change in the configuration for WorkItemMigrationConfig processor?

If you do not want to migrate revisions of your work items and only take the latest version, you can set ReplayRevisions to false in your configuration.
