Question on ongoing contribution plans #336

I'm in the process of assessing our current usage of mui-rte in our codebase and thought I'd take a squiz at the repo. I can see the last commit to master was 2 years ago and the top open issues are regarding breakages in the latest versions of React and Mui. I can see a few commenters still lurking answering questions but no movement from a code point of view. I'm wondering if there's any upgrade plans in the works or if @niuware endorses any particular alternatives?
