How are you guys managing workspaces on multiple monitors?

Hi, guys,

I read through the whole of Aerospace, fantastic work, got into some of it's code too. I'm a Linux orphan and Aerospace covers most of my workflow.

Currently, every monitor has it's own workspace, this is mentioned on the docs:

• Each monitor shows its own workspace. The showed workspaces are called"visible" workspaces
• Different monitors can’t show the same workspace at the same time

My current setup is two monitors, and I was able to mimic the same workspace being shown on both with rules like:

# Secondary monitor gets A..I (pairs with 1..9)

alt-2 = ['focus-monitor main', 'workspace 2', 'focus-monitor secondary', 'workspace B', 'focus-monitor main']
alt-3 = ['focus-monitor main', 'workspace 3', 'focus-monitor secondary', 'workspace C', 'focus-monitor main']

Which is something I think is also very similar to how people set this up with yabai. I was wondering if the community here, since you guys are more experienced, have a better way to deal with this scenario.

Some caveats of my approach includes:

• Whenever a window from a workspace not focused comes into focus, only that monitor goes to the workspace (leaving the other one in the previous workspace)
• Whenever you open any hyperlink, only the monitor that has the workspace that has the application that's able to open the hyperlink navigates

I was reading the docs on exec-on-workspace-change but I haven't played with it yet. Maybe that callback could be a way to lock two workspaces together?
