Emacs window not focused upon exec-and-forget

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install emacs-plus
2. Install doomemacs
3. Setup aerospace hotkey cmd-shift-enter = 'exec-and-forget /opt/homebrew/bin/emacsclient -n -c'
4. Use the hotkey.

Expected result: Emacs window opens quickly and is focused.
Actual result: Emacs window appears, sometimes the window is tiled, sometimes aerospace forgets to tile it. What is consistent though is that the window isn't focused, forcing me to click the window manually to focus it.
